Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate
Program Overview:
The PPOTD program is dedicated to advancing the profession of occupational therapy through mentorship, expanding clinical practice, and providing innovative solutions in community settings. The program is designed to support personal and professional growth through lifelong learning, critical thinking, professional behaviors, interprofessional collaboration, cultural awareness, and spirituality. Graduates will contribute knowledge or research to the field of occupational therapy through the scholarship of application, teaching, or integration. Graduates will have the skills for leadership positions in healthcare or education and be able to translate knowledge into evidence-informed practice contributing to the future of the profession.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
PSLO 1: Graduates will demonstrate the skills necessary to advance the profession through leadership, mentoring, and advocacy across various contexts.
PSLO 2: Graduates will be able to translate knowledge into ethical, evidence-informed practice to best meet the needs of a diverse client population.
